These terms cover work by Kirsaani, a trade name of an Alberta corporation, in Calgary, Alberta. Your written quote and client agreement show the company’s full legal name and the details of your plan. If anything here differs from your written agreement, the agreement wins. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Alberta consumer protection law.
We start in spring 2027
We aren’t taking paid work until spring 2027. Joining our list or asking a question doesn’t commit you to anything.
Quotes and prices
- Quotes are free. We usually quote from a map and your photos, and visit first only for soil work.
- You get your options in writing before any work begins. The price doesn’t change unless you ask for something extra, or we find something the photos couldn’t show. In that case we stop and talk to you first.
- The plan prices on our website are where quotes start. Your written quote is the price.
- Quotes hold for 30 days.
Promotions
Every promotion has a start date, an end date and written terms. They’re all on our promotions page, and past ones stay there for 12 months. A promotion’s terms apply to that promotion; everything else on this page still applies.
Neighbour herb. When someone books a season and tells us you sent them, you each get one herb plant from our stock after their first visit. One per new booking. We never give anything in exchange for a review.
Deposits and payment
- A deposit books your place for the season. The amount, and when it can be refunded, are on your written quote.
- Invoices are due within 14 days.
- We take e-transfer. The details are on your quote and invoice.
Scheduling and weather
- Work is scheduled by day, not by hour. We’ll let you know the day before, with a time window.
- Rain, snow and unsafe conditions move a visit to the next suitable day. You’re never charged for a visit that didn’t happen.
- In a drought, when the grass isn’t growing, we skip the cut and don’t charge for it. How skipped visits work on a season plan is set out in your written agreement.
- We run engines only within the City’s noise-bylaw hours.
- Please give us gate access and keep pets inside while we’re working.
If something isn’t right
Tell us the same day. We’ll come back and fix it at no charge. If it still isn’t right, you don’t pay for that visit. We’d rather sort it out than argue about it.
Cancelling
- Season plans: cancel any time with two weeks’ notice, in writing or by text. How any prepaid amount is settled is set out in your written agreement.
- Single jobs: cancel free up to 24 hours before. Inside 24 hours we may charge a call-out fee if we’ve already loaded up and travelled.
- We may end a service arrangement if a property isn’t safe to work on or invoices go unpaid.
Property and damage
- Please flag sprinkler heads, invisible-fence wire, shallow cables and anything buried before we aerate. We can’t see them, and we can’t be responsible for damage to things that weren’t marked.
- Please clear toys, hoses and pet waste before the visit. Clearing a yard first takes time we’ve quoted for the lawn.
- We take a before photo at every visit. If we damage something, we’ll tell you the same day, with photos. Small things, like a sprinkler head, we fix. For anything bigger, we’ll look at it with you and agree on the fix in writing.
Products
- Casting tea, once CFIA confirms we can use it on paid work, is only applied by us as part of a lawn visit. We don’t sell it.
- Living plants and worms are alive. We’ll replace anything that arrives in poor condition. After that, how they do depends on care we can’t control.
- Everything we sell is for gardens and lawns. We don’t claim that any product controls, kills, repels or prevents anything, and we make no health claims and no fertilizer-number (N-P-K) claims.
What we can’t promise
Soil takes seasons to change, and results depend on watering, weather, sunlight, foot traffic and what was in the ground before we arrived. We’ll tell you honestly what we expect and roughly when. We won’t promise a specific result by a specific date, and you should be careful of anyone who does.
Photographs
We take before and after photos at every visit, for our records and to send to you. Nothing that identifies your property is published without your written permission, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Liability
Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. This doesn’t limit liability for anything that can’t be limited under Alberta law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta.
